In 1962, Leonard Schnipke and Pauline Schnipke founded The Schnipke Engraving Company. Initially, the Company was focused on industrial engraving and complex pantograph image duplication. As the Company expanded, it began to provide advanced engraving services to several regional injection molding companies. The more molds Schnipke engraved, the more Leonard Schnipke became interested in the plastic injection molding process.
In 1967, The Schnipke Engraving Company took “the plunge” into the plastic injection mold making industry. At first, the molds were basic. Mr. Schnipke soon realized that based on his past machinist experience, he had the ability to work with intricate plastic injection molded parts. This ability, along with an unparalleled drive to solve complex molding problems, provided the foundation on which The Schnipke Engraving Company was built.
As the complexity of the molds increased, Mr. Schnipke was faced with a new problem...the injection molding presses were not capable of processing and manufacturing the intricate parts. Based on this need, Mr. Schnipke along with his sons developed their own injection molding presses. The Company no longer builds its own presses, but this unique problem solving ability still drives The Schnipke Engraving Company. “If we can not buy the equipment needed to solve our customer molding and assembly problems, we will design it and build it ourselves”.

Today, the Company is a full service manufacturing organization that offers mold design services, traditional and high precision molding, contract manufacturing, mechanical and automated assembly and numerous secondary operations.
We operate two state-of-the-art facilities strategically located in Ottoville, Ohio and Tucson, Arizona. Both are capable of providing our customers with the “best” as related to plastic injection molding and related services.
